Community rules
Zen Circuit Lab is a place to build, share and learn electronics. These rules keep it useful and safe for everyone.
Who can join
You need to be 13 or older to create an account. Students who join through a teacher's class code use the lab inside their class: their work is never shown publicly.
Share your own work
- Publish circuits you built or remixed. When you remix, the original maker is credited automatically: keep it that way.
- Photos and pictures you upload must be yours, or ones you are allowed to share.
Be helpful, be kind
- Explain, don't mock. Everyone started with an LED the wrong way round.
- No harassment, hate, threats, or sexual content. No spam, no ads for things that are not your own builds.
- Don't post other people's personal information.
Safety first
- Mains (220–240 V and 110–120 V), big batteries and solar systems can hurt or kill and start fires. Advice about them must be safe and must point to the local electrical code; anything else will be removed.
- The simulator is a place to learn and plan. Before you build anything that touches mains, have it checked by a qualified electrician.
- No content about weapons or about defeating safety devices.
What happens if a rule is broken
Anything that breaks these rules can be hidden or removed, and accounts that keep breaking them can be closed. Use the report link on any profile or project to tell us about a problem.
These rules can change as the community grows. Last updated November 2026.
