Soil moisture sensor
Capacitive soil-moisture probe v1.2 · 3.3–5.5 V · analog output about 2.9 V in dry air falling to about 1.3 V in wet soil · no exposed metal, so it does not corrode · moisture now 30 %

How to use it
Measures the soil’s capacitance through the circuit board coating, so nothing corrodes. Calibrate: read it in air (0 %) and in a glass of water (100 %), then map between the two.
