Phototransistor (PT204)
PT204 NPN phototransistor (2 leads: collector and emitter) · light acts as base current · about 1 mA at 1000 lux · 300 lux

Try it on the benchThe lab drops it on an empty bench and opens its datasheet card.
Typical part: PT204 phototransistor
Pins
- C (collector, short lead)
- E (emitter)

How to use it
Light replaces base current. Collector to the supply through a resistor, read the collector: light pulls it down. Pairs with an IR LED for slot and line sensors.
