TPS61088 boost module
TI TPS61088 synchronous boost module · in 2.7–12 V (UVLO 2.5 V) · out 4.0 V (set by the feedback resistors; 4.5–12.6 V on the stock module, lower with its top resistor changed) · 10 A switch limit, so about 6 A out at 4 V from a 3.3 V cell · about 92 % efficient · output follows the input through the inductor and the high-side MOSFET when it is not boosting

Try it on the benchThe lab drops it on an empty bench and opens its datasheet card.

Ratings and limits
| Input | 2.7–12 V · UVLO 2.5 V falling |
|---|---|
| Output | 4.0 V set (FB 1.204 V) · up to 12.6 V · never below the input (pass-through) |
| Switch current limit | 10 A typical: I_out ≈ 10 A × V_in ÷ V_out × efficiency |
| Efficiency | 90–95 % (synchronous rectifier) |
| Protection | cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal shutdown 150 °C; no load disconnect: a short on the output is a short on the input |

How to use it
The boost for a 1S cell that has to deliver amps: a 2 A modem burst at 4 V needs about 2.6 A from a 3.3 V LiFePO4 cell, over the MT3608’s 2 A switch and well inside this one’s 10 A.
