L298N motor driver
L298N dual H-bridge module · 5–35 V motor supply · 2 A per channel (bipolar Darlington outputs: about 2 V lost at 1 A) · 78M05 regulator fitted (jumper on: +5V is an output, keep V_S ≤ 12 V) · ENA jumper on (always enabled) · ENB jumper on

Try it on the benchThe lab drops it on an empty bench and opens its datasheet card.

Ratings and limits
| Motor supply | 5–35 V |
|---|---|
| Current | 2 A per channel (3 A peak) |
| Drop | ≈ 1.8–3 V at 1 A (bipolar outputs) |
| Logic | 5 V; 3.3 V inputs work |
How to use it
IN1/IN2 set the direction of motor A (10 forward, 01 reverse, 00 or 11 brake); ENA switches it on, or takes PWM for speed once its jumper is removed. Its old bipolar outputs waste about 2 V as heat: the DRV8833 or TB6612 do the same job with MOSFETs.
